Recovering at hospital today. Asa is progressing well. He's hungry, but still has to wait until at least morning to allow his stomach to settle and system to work. Had a rough night breaking his epidural line again. We have spent the day back in advocate mode, rehashing info, asking questions. Asa slept and played and was appropriately grumpy.
Please pray that Asa continue to do well. We'd love to get out of here sooner rather than later. Pray Asa's electrolytes stay stable. They are a little off due to the surgery. Pray that we advocate well. We have been given several opportunities to tell about Asa's name. We also have had to go to bat. Still struggling with food service and meals. They are not too friendly to nursing moms. Please pray that we have great nurses and docs, that we get out of here at appropriate time. Pray that bacteria stay at bay and fever stays gone. We did have a little low grade today, but that's not unusual for this large a surgery.
Thanks today for finally some sleep and new clothes and to be out of ICU into less hectic land. Grateful for my helpers here and at home. Very happy that Asa is doing well.
