Recovering at home - July 9, 2014

Prep day at home with Asa, sleeping late recovering from cold, wrapping up things at home, headed off to clinic to inpatient tomorrow. Asa seems to be better today, not quite so runny nose. Rest of us still recovering.

Please pray for wisdom as we enter this next 3 week cycle of chemo.  We have so enjoyed our time of normalcy after the tumor surgery that it's hard to go back.  Asa has officially gained 2+ lbs in those 3 weeks, topping out just over 20 lbs.  🐷🐷🐷 Please pray his ravenous appetite holds and that foods taste good to him.  Pray that the chemo does not further affect his hearing and that his immune system remain intact.  Pray for kids enduring at home, holding fort down with their dad.  Pray for us at the hospital, that they cooperate with feeding mom and Asa and that God sends us the appropriate nurses and cooperative, wise floor doctors.  And sleep.  Pray please that we sleep and only have to stay two nights.  And please, no germies! 😷 Good report on our friend, Caroline, today.  Please pray also for my sister-in-law as she travels to take care of business this week.  A lot to deal with.

Thanks today for getting little things done, lots of tedious, annoying little paperwork things.  Grateful that we are all improving even though we cough like dying old men.  Thankful Asa is not snotty and didn't wake up hyped still on meds.  Thanks for big kids that keep the routine for all of us.  And Mexican food.  Yay Mexican food, even if it calls for a bath.
