Asa update:
5pm
Went in at noon, surgery started at 1:30pm officially. Tumor is now out. Long process of closing up. Got a call just now from doc we saw Saturday when Asa was running fever and his cultures came back positive. Info is to surgeons now so they can address this issue as well. Asa did respond to iv treatment on Saturday, but we didn't know if issue was bacterial or viral. Evidently it was bacterial.
Pray accordingly. We will update again later. We do not know at this point if he will go to ICU overnight or to floor. They told us it could be either.
