Home again. Home again. Back again. Started out bright and early and groggy on coffee and went to oncology clinic in prep for inpatient chemo. Did our bloodwork and checks only to be sent home because the hospital was full. Aaaargh! No big deal, but it is a drive and we have to reorganize. Asa pic for clinic window today. Spent a lot of time sitting in window waiting waiting waiting. We go back when they call tomorrow.
It got dicey before we pulled out of the drive. Asa's NG tube was accidentally pulled out by an unmentioned third-party. Seeing as we were headed into clinic, this was not a big problem. The doctor suggested an attempt at seeing if we could live with medications without the NG tube so the next 24 to 72 hours is an experiment in that regard. We are trying it. We are trying to get a set a bottle, someone successfully. Please pray that works out well. Also continue to pray that the tumor shrink and shrink away from the portal vein properly. Pray for our endurance as we go back to the hospital tomorrow when they call us and tell us that a bed is ready.
Thanks for patient friends who shuttled my kids around making sure they got to work. Thankful for a daughter who can make dinner when mom and dad had to be gone too long today. Thankful that Asa is happy as a lark running around the den no cords attached no cords down his nose.
