To chemo. To chemo. - July 10, 2014

We have been kidnapped into the world of inpatient chemo again.  After a long day of waiting, they finally admitted Asa to the Bone Marrow Transplant unit (home to His Grace Foundation to all you locals) as the oncology unit had no room in the inn.  I think this is the most mysteriously clean unit we've been on yet. Odd locked down place.  Had cute pics taken in clinic today - cancer perk and consumed pizza and coffee and poppy seed bread in our long wait.  We are camped out here doing chemo overnight. Probably here for typical two nights.

Please obviously pray this goes well and as our oncology doc says "keep it boring."  Asa still sniffling a bit, but his viral panels came back clear, so we anticipate no big boogie men hiding in his system and that little nose of his. Pray that this last chemo completely knock out any remaining cancer cells leftover and that it not knock out Asa's immune system. Pray that we continue to get good nurses and that we negotiate well with the attending doc.  Please pray for our crew at home.  Dad and bigs holding down fort until I return.  Pray for safe travels for my sister in law as she travels to wrap up some business.  We just have a lot going on, people going here and there.

Thanks today for actually getting a room instead of having to come back a fourth time this week.  Been a long week already here.  Grateful for God's clear direction on schooling today. Thankful for people who offer grace and kindness and fun and normalcy to patients here.  Thankful that Asa is weighing in so well and still shoveling food.  And tickles and belly laughs. And duuuumb chick flicks.
