Medicinal growlings - April 23, 2014

The snarl on his face is sorta the way I see it, too. The med routine chases us around like Asa's NG tube trails behind him everywhere he goes. It's a pain. I didn't even honor the feed pump with a picture. I feel about it about like I do the incessant beeping med pumps at hospital. You just want to pitch them.

Prayers as Asa goes to his first outpatient clinic visit tomorrow. Gotta pack those meds up and go mobile. That's a first. We will do blood work, a minor chemo, and learn plans for next inpatient chemo. Please continue to pray for Asa's tumor to move away from portal vein. Would appreciate prayers that his kidneys would go to full function so that we can shed the med routine. Pray virus stays at bay as it is the virus meds that have adversely affected a minor filtering system in his kidneys. Pray that Asa will willingly desire a bottle. Pray that all germs stay at bay as we venture to clinic.

Thanks for a fun dinner with new friends and real adult conversation. Thanks to my kids who've worked so hard sticking with it for sooooo long with a good attitude. Thanks for encouraging friends on the days that drag on in the monotony of this. Thanks for sleeping a bit later today. Thanks for spring flowers and green and that homeschooling is flexible so littles and mom can stop and smell. And, yes, thanks that God provides meds and machines to help get this little one well.
