Off to the races tomorrow. Back in oncology clinic where we will get the full low down from the doctor meetings that transpired today. The plan that we know right now is to do inpatient chemo #4 tomorrow if Asa's counts are acceptable and there is a bed available. That could change, but for now, that's the plan. Past that?? We will learn tomorrow.
Tony commented today how well Asa looks. Sometimes it's hard to believe he has cancer. Hard to believe when you tickle his squishy belly and he chuckles and giggles that there's still some tumor there. Hard to believe neutropenia is real when he crawls the house and cruises the furniture and sings loudly and pulls the cat's hair. Hard for our other kids to believe, too, and stay home when Asa doesn't seem abnormal short of trailing central line wires behind him. Please pray as we continue this week of decisions. Pray Asa stays well while his counts are still low and they would not dip so far next chemo round. Pray for our endurance as we go inpatient briefly and that chemo would be uneventful with minimal nausea. Pray that adenovirus would be totally gone such that we are not on lock down while at hospital. There are still traces in his system though he tests negative by blood. Pray for good docs, good nurses, opportunities for interaction. Thanks for praying for Caroline. Her fever is much better.
Thanks today for belly laughs and special surprises and grandparents who play cards. Thanks for friends who cover and sons who hold down fort and household maintenance issues. Thanks for daughters who fold endless mounds of laundry and tolerate Legofests and phonics lessons. Thanks to you for praying. God has been hearing and answering. Keep it up!
