Days at Home - April 26, 2014

Quiet spring days at home on the porch are a real joy.  Boys had a crazy paintball gathering so kids were in and our door all day.  Tony threw burgers on our make shift cookout grill since our other died from over usage.  Short of a few donut shaped whelts on unfortunate souls, it went well.  Asa got his feeds on the porch, played with siblings, just enjoyed lap time with his mom.

Continue to pray.  Though we are in a treatment lull and enjoying every minute, cancer is still our reality.  Pray tumor shrinks away from portal vein and that it continues to shrink significantly.  Pray that this next chemo stay on Thurs is effective, short, sweet, uncomplicated.  I do think the thought of eating hospital food beyond that may cause me trauma.  Asa can nurse, but I don't get blue bell at the spigot. Pray that electrolytes completely correct and that God would heal the tiny kidney filter that is amiss.

Thanks again for supporting families in the Relay for Life.  Twins stayed until about 2am and walked. Alaina said she did 12 miles.

Thanks for a calm, calm day with most of my boys here and their dear friends, too.  Thanks for scrumptious dinner and homemade bread.  Yum!  Yum!  Thanks for carrot cake eaten early!  Happy birthday to my mom!  We ate cake in your honor.  Wish I could have made your pork chops!
