Clinic - May 8, 2014

Loooong day at clinic.  Wait. Wait.  More wait.  Good visit.  Got weekly minor chemo.  And yes yes yes!  Removed two drugs from Asa's regimen for now!!  Yay for mom and dad!  Less torture.  Unfortunately, one of Asa's central line leads was busted so we had to stay for line repair.  Like taking a car in with a flat tire.  Excellent blood work reports.  Cancer protein markers are down to 399.  As of Feb 12, that number was over 51000.  God doing big work on that tumor!  Still tiny traces of virus, but clearly on way out.  Today was also a high scoring day on the trip in to clinic.  Asa set a record in one of the biggest car seat blowouts ever!  Whee!  Never a dull moment! 😷💩

Prayers.  I think there is still some various concerns with our oncology team that the tumor has not or will not move away from the portal vein correctly.  Usually this does so earlier in chemo cycles.  We will take MRI pics again on the 20th.  This should tell docs a great deal.  At that point we will move to chemo 4 and then either to tumor removal or transplant.  Sooooo, with all those details, please pray that tumor shrinks correctly off of portal vein.

Thanks today for release from so many meds.  The spit gag barf routine is minimized for now.  Thanks for daughter who made great meals after a long day locked in a clinic room and in traffic.

Brief off topic requests.  Please pray for family of my brother in law, Clancy, that God would minister to and touch hearts of all extended family and be glorified.  Pray that Asa stay germ free through all this weekend.  😷 His counts are excellent.  Also, plan is to take Addison for drivers test tomorrow.  Pray he passes test.  We need an extra driver.
