Relay for Life - April 25

Finished our evening at the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Thanks to all who supported us so that we could give back in a different way. Neat to go out in a public venue and see folks affected and just visit.

Pics tonight are of Asa having his survivor mum pinned on at the walk. He would have none of that mum! Also the lovely scowls were for the home health nurse who came and changed his bandages today. He just hates people in scrubs and masks now.

Continue to pray for the same. We are enjoying our home time but we do have to return briefly next week and face the reality of chemo and that Asa still needs systemic chemo to beat this tumor long term. This will be #3 systemic chemo of a planned 6 total. Pray that the tumor move off portal vein so that docs have necessary margin to remove tumor. Pray that virus and illness stay at bay, that kids stay well. Pray that we sleep and endure this season well, with good testimony.

Thanks today for a good home health nurse. Yay! Asa didn't agree, but he just has this thing against medical folks. Cant imagine why...thanks that Asa's counts were good enough to attend Relay for Life and our sweet church that is so good about interacting with the community. Thanks for the extra days home with Asa. I can actually feel like I'm home and not at a vacation resort - dishes and clutter clean up make that a bit realistic, too. 🍼. But thankful for down time.
