Day 4 of chemo - Praising God for a sweet little boy - April 10, 2014

Quiet days at hospital where you wonder why you're still here. But then you know there are still some minor issues like liver cancer.

So please continue to pray for all the plaguing minor issues. We are still waiting for virus to completely go away and stay away.  treatment tomorrow. Asa still has some minor kidney function issues, electrolyte probs that need to regulate that get thrown off further by chemo and antiviral treatments. We also need to work out way through the next neutropenia dip until his blood counts are restored to make sure virus stays at bay clinically. And of course, there's a tumor that needs to shrink specifically and come out. All that in a kid that plays all day happily and seems fine for now. At times it seems a bit surreal, but God is most certainly up to something here. Continue to pray as we interact.
Thanks for your prayers and faithfulness in this long haul. Thanks for surprise visit from long distance dear friend today. Thanks for a brief time of relief and getting some things done in the quiet play times. for flex in work hours and dependable help. Thanks to be seeing a visually shrinking tumor so Asa doesn't so resemble Santa as he did. Thanks that he seems to be ending his standard chemo nursing strike.
