Home again! Home again! Jiggety jig! Happy Easter! - April 21, 2014

Home again! Home again! Jiggety jig! Happy Easter!

We were granted a day early reprieve today for which we are thrilled! Though Asa is slated to return for chemo a week from Monday, we are happy to crash in our own beds and eat real food. I haven't even gotten to ask who made dinner, but I inhaled it! Yum! We spent our afternoon and evening working on our routine around here. We have a 17 point action list to care for Asa and that doesn't include normal stuff. It's a bit daunting to keep him fed and medicated for his electrolytes. New appreciation for nurses and how they must be terribly OCD. All this on top of a keeping clean and germ free routine. Whee!

Continued prayer for the normal stuff. I sent out a corrected MRI picture this morning. Please pray for Asa and his poor tumor, that it would move away from the portal vein. Pray that he would stay well this week as he's home and that the kids would not bring home anything. Pray for my sanity as I try to figure out his routine. Tuesday we will be headed back to the clinic for a minor outpatient chemo. Please continue to pray that Asa's electrolytes would rectify themselves. If they did so it would make the 17 point checklist a lot shorter.

Grateful this week that Tony has some job flexibility in terms of how he gets work done. We have a lot to do here at home caring for Asa. Beyond thankful for good food. A real bed feels like a luxury hotel, as does the bathtub. I don't know who feels more resurrected, me or Asa. I don't know who is more excited to see me home my children my husband or my dog who howled.
