Picture today of Asa's newest gesture also known as the Spidey hand or an exhibition of the force. It can mean come, go, get, stop, or give me to the next person, or go away depending upon the level if grunting or chattering or toddler cussing that goes on alongside the motion. A gesture well practiced at nurses and especially their assistants who took vitals. He is now finding great usage for it at home.
Please continue to pray. Headed back to oncology clinic tomorrow for the weekly labs, doc visit, and a minor outpatient chemo. Pray for easy trip, good interactions, Asa to not revolt in his car seat. Please continue to pray that the leftover tumor shrink from the portal vein. Pray that Asa's electrolytes continue to improve. The 17 step med program is a bit tedious, like 4+ hours a day to administer tedious. It would be lovely to not have to be so tortured. Please pray that Asa would consider taking a bottle. He is nursing well, but he will just have none of bottle supplementation no matter what. He used to do okay with a bottle, but grew unaccustomed and now is refusing. It is needed as he goes in and out of varying treatment.
Huge thanks today to the many of you who have so quietly blessed us. I have been very humbled to come home and see in detail the things we missed while at the hospital. You know who you are. Huge hugs and thanks to you for all, the notes, cards, food, groceries, items for Asa, visits, you name it, but especially the prayer. If we could tell you the stories of how God used you, you would be astounded. It has been a very surreal roller coaster ride and God is not done yet. Thank you! Please pray that we be a good testimony of how God has blessed all around to all we encounter.
