One day at a time - March 20, 2014

Rough day with Asa. (pics reflect that) We are still with him trying to get him settled.  They have weaned him slowly off of meds today in preparation for moving off vent and have fought his gag reflex with his tube. Lots of advocating for the child. Still at it.  The whole unit is just nutty tonight.

Please pray as we plan to go through extubation tomorrow.  It's a minor step but not an easy one.  Chemo as of right now will proceed early next week in the non systemic variety delivered directly to the liver.  Pray for those working on this and their decisions on Asa's behalf.  We often don't know half of what they do for Asa.

We would appreciate prayer for good nurse and staff assignments now through the weekend. Pray that Asa be calm and cooperative as he gets better.  Pray continuously that virus be gone gone gone.  It is still the chief concern.  Cancer is next.

Thanks today for good coffee, good friends to share with.  Thanks for a pair of amazing day nurses.  These ladies (and men) put up with a lot.  Thanks for a provision of a good bed!  We are looking forward to spending part of day with kids tomorrow.
