Taxman still wants to be paid - April 15, 2014

A better report today. Renal testing came back clear and electrolytes are improving on a daily basis. Still struggle with Asa's bicarb rate and that is related to his past antiviral meds. Best news is that docs came to a group consensus ...that we can discontinue antiviral treatments at a certain number and that we will not use the drug preventatively below that point. As of the few last weeks, we were below that rate. This should allow Asa a very feasible exit plan at this point.
Tomorrow we should have viral count results. Even though there is some long term consensus on how to handle virus, what we really want and ask you to pray is that it be undetectable and stay that way. As mentioned, we should be very close to a real exit plan. Pray as this is discussed tomorrow. We will need to return April 28 approx for next chemo, but going home between would be pristine. Please continue to pray for tumor to shrink away from necessary vein, shrink to nothing. That's next big item. Pray as always for sleep and endurance.
Thanks today for some good news wrapping up a lot of confusion. Thanks that Asa was in good spirits today. Thanks for good eye check up report (yes another requirement to make sure antiviral didn't hurt his eyes). Thanks for good conversations, kind nurses.
