Go Away Adenovirus! - April 13, 2014

Nice visiting day at hospital. Feel like this is a front porch I'm permanently stuck on and folks come by and sit awhile, but there's no lemonade. But, today we got some amazing food. That keeps me from pocketing so much chocolate.

Asa had a grouchy day still weaning off last of vent meds. His count numbers have stayed steady in regards to his immune drop, which means he's faring well. We are weaning off feeds and removed an iv line today. Keep nursing!! Less wires! Spent the day coming up a with a way to keep those lines out of his reach.

Continue to pray. Kidney test in morn to check his numbers and make sure things are good after all the antiviral meds. We will do a viral treatment tomorrow and test levels of virus. Pray for zero. Working on lots of other little stuff with hopes of getting out of here. Minor weekly chemo on Tuesday. Pray for great interactions, conversations, and favor this week with docs.

Long term.... Systemic chemo planned two weeks from tomorrow again. Imaging after that with plans for removing tumor.

Thanks again today for yummy food and fun company who help with watching silly tasks like converting a kiddie bra into a vest to hold wires and tubes. Thanks for a hubby who can repair toilets! Parents who graciously tolerate little people and teens. Thanks to get to hear my kid sing today, even if it was remotely.
